Terms of Service
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and ZTooly (“we”) about your use of the Z-Shot browser extension and the ztooly.com website (together, the “Service”). By installing Z-Shot or creating an account you agree to them.
1. The Service
Z-Shot lets you capture, record, edit and share screenshots and screen recordings in your browser. A free plan is available. Paid plans and AppSumo licenses unlock Pro features as described on the pricing page at the time you buy.
2. Your account
You need an account to buy or activate Pro. Give accurate information, keep your password private and tell us if you think your account was misused. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old.
3. Licenses
- A license lets you use Pro on the number of browsers included in your plan. Team licenses cover the number of seats you pay for: one person per seat, each with up to 3 browsers.
- Files a team shares are stored in the team’s own storage bucket, which the team owner connects and pays for with their storage provider. The team owner is responsible for that bucket, for what the team shares and for who is invited.
- Don’t share, resell or publish your license key, or try to get around license checks or browser limits.
- Pro features need an online license check at least every 24 hours.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Orders are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record, which also handles sales tax, VAT and invoices; Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the payment. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from My Account → Manage billing; Pro then stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Prices may change for future billing periods; we will tell you before a change affects you.
5. Refunds
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
6. AppSumo lifetime licenses
If you bought Z-Shot on AppSumo, you get the Pro features of your tier for the lifetime of the Z-Shot product, including future updates to that plan, with the browser limit of your tier. AppSumo’s terms apply to the purchase and refunds; a refund through AppSumo deactivates the license. Lifetime licenses cannot be transferred to another account without our help.
7. Acceptable use
Use Z-Shot lawfully. Don’t use it to capture, record or share content you have no right to, to record people without the consent the law requires, to harass anyone, or to break the terms of the websites you capture. Don’t reverse engineer, attack or overload our servers or license system.
8. Your content
Your captures and recordings belong to you. They are stored in your browser, and we don’t receive them unless you send them to us, for example in a support email. You are responsible for backing them up; we can’t recover data deleted from your browser.
9. Third-party services
Some features connect to services you choose, such as Imgur, your own storage bucket or a webhook. Their terms apply, and we are not responsible for them.
10. Changes and availability
We keep improving Z-Shot and may add, change or remove features. We won’t remove a core feature of a paid plan during a period you have already paid for without offering a fair remedy. Browser makers can change what extensions are allowed to do, which may affect some features.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using Z-Shot and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, after warning you where reasonable.
12. Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data stored in your browser, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
